is a true country school, ideally located in the magnificent Georgian
Highlands 8 miles west of Barrie and only 1 hour north of Toronto and
free from urban, suburban distraction. The school is perched on the edge
of a 300-acre conservation area, which offers our students access to trout
ponds and miles of hiking paths and ski trails. The school itself is situated
on 30 acres and boasts both boys' and girls' dormitories, dining hall,
classroom building, woodworking shop and staff residences. Students also
enjoy the benefit from our tennis and basketball courts, playing fields
and our rope course. Everyone gets a chance to play competitive sports at SMCS, regardless of skill level.
